Abstract

We report a case of a 49 year old male with CSCR being misdiagnosed and treated as glaucoma using AGM in both eyes since 3 years. He had history of CSCR in left eye 10 years back, with history of glaucoma in mother and grandfather.
Annterior segment examination was normal, IOP by GAT was normal in both eyes, gonioscopy showed open angles in both eyes. Dilated fundus examination revealed healthy discs in both the eyes, with normal periphery in the RE and perivascular pigmentation inferiorly in the LE.
RE fields were normal, LE fields showed superotemporal scotoma which was corresponding to the retinal changes. OCT RNFL in both eyes was normal and pachymetry showed normal CCT.
Based on these findings, it was concluded that the field defects were old CSCR associated, which was misdiagnosed as glaucomatous defects.
The AGMs were stopped and the patient was observed. On subsequent follow up since 2 years the IOP was normal, the discs were healthy, and the fields were stable.
