Abstract
Orbital & periorbital neurofibromas show considerable clinical variety & may cause progressive, infiltrative & disfiguring orbital and craniofacial tumours with devastating functional & cosmetic effects. Study Design & Purpose : Retrospective, observational case series to review the experience with the management of 10 patients presenting with ocular neurofibromas ranging from eyebrow & / or eyelid involvement to skull and intracranial extensions. Management protocol included debulking of an eyelid tumour, selective debulking surgery because of extensive tissue infiltration in eyelid, eyebrow & / or orbit, with few requiring ptosis correction, external levator resection, canthoplasty in large eyelid tumours causing traction on the lateral canthal tendon, one patient with Diffuse Neurofibroma with enbloc resection of the frontal, temporoparietal bone with lateral and superior orbital rims requiring secondary craniofacial reconstruction using Patient Specific Implant.
