Abstract
Purpose: to describe the clinical features of supranuclear eye movement disorders a rare group of movement abnormalities and aiding the diagnosis
Methods: we describe a case series of 14 cases from a tertiary hospital in South India during a study period of 5 years. all patients underwent thourough neuro ophthalmic and neurologic examination and were managed conservatively.
RESULTS: age group 8-75 years. various diagnosis seen were internuclear ophthalmoplegia (5), bilateral INO(2), vertical gaze palsy (2), parinauds dorsal midbrain syndrome (2) accomodation insufficiency (2), divergence insufficiency (1) were seen.
CONCLUSION: understanding the complex movement disorders helps in localisation of lesion in the brain and helps in management
