FP2687 : Visual and surgical outcomes of DSAEK with IOL exchange / IOL implantation

Abstract

Purpose: To study indications, postoperative visual and surgical outcomes of DSAEK with IOL implantation
Methods: Retrospective analysis of medical records of patients who underwent DSAEK, with IOL exchange or implantation over a period of 2 years 2021 Jan–Dec 2022
Results: Total of 105 eyes needed DSAEK +IOL implantation. Of which, 54 were implanted with ACIOL, 33 iris claw,17 PCIOL and 1 scleral fixated IOL with DSAEK. Most common indication was PBK(56,pseudophakic bullous Keratopathy) followed by ABK(38,Aphakic bullous keratopathy), failed grafts 9, Brown MC lean syndrome 2. UCVA and BCVA improved significantly at postop 2 months compared to preop UCVA (1.74±0.43 vs 1.27±0.54, p=0.02) and BCVA (1.55±0.55 vs 0.99±0.72, p=0.02). UCVA at 2 months postop in iris claw was statistically significantly better compared to ACIOL (1.007logMAR vs 1.41logMAR,p= 0.04) and with PCIOL(1.007logMAR vs1.57logMAR,p= 0.001). Conclusion: PBK was the most common indication with good outcomes post surgery
