Abstract

To classify a patient to be having a Neuro-Ophthalmological eye disease or symptom is like finding a needle in a haystack. As a good clinician, all we can do is be open to suspecting, investigating or referring a patient, when all is not as simple as it seems.
Today I aim to present a few of the diagnostic dilemmas, or should I say diagnosed, sometimes treated and then then re- diagnosed after non-resolution / worsening / appearance of a new symptom.
Case 1- Refractive surprise after Lens exchange!! Or is it?
(A C/O Bitemporal hemianopia due to an Intracranial lesion)
Case 2- All Optic nerve swellings are not neuritis.
(Bilateral disc edema in young- C/O Idiopathic intracranial hypertension)
Case 3- Intermittent esotropia in a child- What am I missing?
(C/O Juvenile Myasthenia and C/O Intracranial pathology with similar presentation)
