FP2227 : Impact of biparjoy cyclone on ocular trauma in non coastal area.

Abstract

Introduction -The cyclone biparjoy coursed through WESTERN INDIA COSTS. Direct cyclone related injury patients presented with acute/subacute ophthalmic injuries BUT WE PRESENT A INDIRECT INJURY IN NON COSTAL AREA HAVING INDIRECT INJURY
Abstract- 10 year/male presented with globe rupture due to fall of mango on eye due to heavy winds.On examination Patient had Traumatic globe rupture with zone 1 -2, 5*2mm limbus to limbus corneal tear covered by blood clots , superior iridodialysis,scleral collapse.Ac had blood clots and was collapsed.Vitreous and iris prolapsed through wound. Patient was managed by corneoscleral wound repair with interrupted sutures and 18 days later by vitreoretinal surgery for trauma and retinal detachment.
