STUDY DESIGN: Case series
PURPOSE: To highlight importance of TTT in treatment of RAM
METHODS: 3 cases underwent detailed examination including BCVA assessment, slit lamp examination, fundus examination with 20D and 90D, OCT macula and FFA. The cases were diagnosed as haemorrhagic or mixed haemorrhagic and exudative RAM. Transpupillary thermotherapy was performed on the leaking macroaneurysm.
RESULTS: There was an improvement in BCVA in 2 cases and steady BCVA in 1 case with resolution of the intraretinal haemorrhage and macular edema after 1 month of TTT in all cases.
CONCLUSION: TTT showed good resolution of haemorrhage and macular edema in patients with RAM.
