Abstract
Corneal and conjunctival in situ neoplasia (CIN) are uncommon ocular surface lesions but harbor the potential to cause significant ocular morbidity and rarely mortality. Ultraviolet-B light (UV) and human papillomaviruses have been proposed as significant risk factors in etiopathogenesis. Our case of OSSN is a 48-year-old male with a history of foreign body sensation, redness, and growth in the right eye for four months. On examination of the right eye revealed 0.9×0.3×0.1cm size growth in the nasal limbus with a feeder vessel. The patient was posted for excision biopsy with intraoperative Mitomycin – C . Histopathology of the lesion showed Carcinoma in Situ grade 2 with Spheroidal generation. This rare case is due to CIN along with spheroidal degeneration unlikely association.
