Abstract
A 40 year old female patient came with chief complaints of
* defective distant vision in the left eye since childhood ,
*history of drooping of left upper lid since childhood
*history of horizontal rotatory movements
* no history of eye surgery, eye injury .
On examination left eye – 15 % esotropia , ptosis , EOM – Left eye Ocular movements: primary position , direct elevation , dextro elevation , levo elevation —-> gross restriction on elevation .
Vision – right eye – 6/9 , left eye – 6/36 , left eye hypotropia , defective elevation in adduction , cover test left eye – hypotropia ,
Fundus – both eye normal, HFA – could not be assessed due to nystagmus, CT Brain – normal study , Bjerum field chart left eye – field defect ,
Diagnosis:Left eye Brown syndrome
