Abstract
AIM: To report the diagnostic and management of rare chandler syndrome
BACKGROUND:A 51 year female presented with blurring of vision in LE>RE, change in appearance of pupil. On examination of cornea has "hammered silver" appearance, anterior chamber shallow, iris atrophy, corectopia and PAS with gonioscopy. IOP is 14mm of Hg in BE, fundus examination has CDR ratio: 0.6:1 in BE with Foveal reflex +. On Specular microscopy the corneal endothelium characteristic appearance "ICE cells".
MANAGEMENT: Regular follow up for glaucoma evaluation every 3 months
CONCLUSION: Chandler syndrome is a unique ophthalmic disorder involves endothelium, Specular microscopy is an important diagnostic tool, Routine evaluation for glaucoma should be done by measuring intra ocular pressure and angle for PAS with gonioscopy. visual field analysis ,optic nerve assessment using OCT in the initial work-up and ongoing evaluation for glaucoma progression.
