FP1457 : A stone in the lens!

Abstract

A 24 year old, construction worker, otherwise healthy male, came to ophthalmology OPD for diminution of vision in right eye since 1 month, gradual in onset, progressive in nature. Patient had a history of trauma to the right eye 1 month ago. Ocular examination- visual acuity RE- HMCF, PL+,PR accu. LE-6/6. Anterior segment showed- RE-Linear opacity on the cornea at 8'o clock hours with pearly white lens with intralenticular foreign body, no aqueous flare/cells. LE-WNL. IOP-both eye WNL. RE fundus-no view, LE fundus WNL. RE B-SCAN- Intralenticular FB+, with normal retina. Treatment- RE SICS with PCIOL was performed. Intralenticular FB was extracted intraoperatively. POD-1 vision in RE-6/6 with normal anterior segment with an evident linear corneal opacity in 8 to 9 ‘o’ clock hours.
