FP1156 : KERATOMETRIC AND PACHYMETRY CHANGES POST MICRO LASIK, FEMTO LASIK, AND SMILE IN AN INDIAN POPULATION

Abstract

STUDY DESIGN:Retrospective observational study, Purpose:compare visual acuity, corneal curvature, thickness and their stability in the postoperative period.Methods:50 eyes MicroLASIK(A),65 eyes FemtoLASIK (B) and 67 eyes SMILE (C) from 1st June 2022 to 31st May 2023 as per old records. UCVA,BCVA, corneal curvature, pachymetry and Schirmer’s test before surgery, as well as at 1 day, 1 week, 1 month and 3 months after the surgical procedures. Results: Significant difference in baseline mean average K (p=.0011) and pachymetry (p=.0071) in all groups. No significant difference in UCVA and BCVA post-operative (p>.05).Significant variations in mean post procedure average K and pachymetry were detected during all the follow-up examinations (all p<.05). Conclusion: Stabilisation of corneal curvature values was seen at least at 3 months of surgery in case of Micro LASIK and Femto LASIK but not in SMILE group in our study. SMILE group shows a slight increase in curvature at 3 months.
