FP0208 : A CLINICAL TRIAL ON PHAKIC IOL VS OCCLUTAB VS ORTHOPTEK IN CHILDREN FOR MANAGEMENT OF AMBLYOPIA

Abstract

Design: A Prospective Randomized Registered Clinical Trial. Commonest of Amblyopia is classified as refractive. Aim:To analyze the demographics and clinical outcomes of Phakic IOL(GpA) Vs Occlutab(GpB) Vs Orthoptek(GpC) in the management of Anisomyopic and Isomyopic Amblyopia in the age group of 10-19 Yrs. Methods:A prospective interventional study was performed on children and adolescents with amblyopia at a tertiary eye care centre from January 2021 to Jan 2023. 69 eyes of 63 Anisomyopic and 3 Isomyopic amblyopia patients randomized in 3 Groups and observed.Results:Vision improves in all but fastest uncorrected in Phakic gp, BCVA was 0.11 logMAR in all gps. Contrast Sensitivity and Stereoacuity improved fastest in Orthoptek gp with a significant p-value of 0.00. Conclusion:Orthoptek Magnocellular Stimulator is a novel instrument in the management of Anisomyopic and Isomyopic Amblyopia in terms of faster improvement in CS & Stereoacuity and multicentric Clinical Trials are needed
