FP0065 : Viability of full-thickness skin grafts with cicatricial ectropion of eyelid in acid burn

Abstract

Purpose; To evaluate the viability of full thickness free skin graft used for correction of cicatricial ectropion with exposure keratopathy resulting from acid burn of the face and over all outcome of cicatricial ectropion
METHODS; Retrospective ,interventional case series of 6 patients with acid burn in face involving upper and lower eyelids over period of two year.Correction of upper eyelid cicatricial ectropion by full thickness free skin graft followed by tarsorhaphy. Outcome measure graft viability
RESULTS: There was 100% viability in full thickness free skin graft. In ectrpion correction measured by position of lid margin, acceptable fixed lid height, excellent cosmetic improvement comparing the previous photograph.
Conclusion: Full thickness free skin graft is better option for correction of upper eyelid cicatricial ectropion in acid burn in face.All the patient had good ectropion correction. All the patient had improved their functional cosmetic appearance
