FP0063 : Outcome of upper and lower lid retraction corrected by Novel FKPF in Graves’ Orbitopathy

Abstract

Purpose To evaluate the functional and cosmetic outcomes after using Novel Filamentous knitted polyester fabric to correct upper and lower lid retraction in Graves’ orbitopathy
Methods ;Prospective interventional study done on 14 eyes. This surgical procedure introduce Novel FKPF over the lid as spacer material to correct upper and lower lid retraction in GO. LPS, mullers muscle recessed from tarsal plate and create a semiluner gap where FKPF is fixed as spacer material to prevent LPS reattachment.
Results ;Pre op MRD -1 7±1.34 mm to 3.8±0.75mm. Pre op scleral show 2.8 ±0.50 to post op nil.MRD -2 pre op 7±1.50 to 4.5±0.50mm.Pre op PFH 16±1.50 to post op 10.50±0.75mm.none of patient had infection and extrusion
Conclusion; FKPF is inert, non reacting ,tissue friendly. It is cost effective easily available in our hospital set up.ALL lid retractions are corrected, cosmetically anatomically and physiologically.All the patient are mentally highly satisfied
