FP0328 : A quest for wipe-out phenomenon with Phaco-Trab and Trab-SICS in patient with split fixations (SF).

Abstract

Study design: Retrospective, non-comparative interventional study. Purpose: Find out the incidence of wipe-out phenomenon with Phaco-Trab and Trab-SICS in patient with SF. Methods; Group A(PT) and group B(TSICS). Patients included were; SF of ≥1 quadrant, follow-up of ≥ 6months & age ≥18 years. Pre-existing loss of central vision & intraoperative complications were excluded. Decline in VA < 3lines in 6 month was considered permanent loss. RESULTS: Group A & B had 79 & 7 patients respectively. BCVA at 3rd and 6th month showed no any decline in VA ≤3 lines. Mean IOP in group A reduced from 19.5mmhg to 12.35mmHg at 6months & 12.22mmHg at 3 years & in group B from 26.33 mmHg to 11.21 mmHg at 6month and 14 mmHg at 2 years. Probability of success in Group A at 3 year was 97.4% & for Group B was 83.3% in 2 years. Conclusions: Wipe out phenomenon is a rare complication it was not seen in any of our study participants.PT and TSICS has good IOP control and visual outcomes in patients with SF.
