Abstract

Aim: To evaluate Outcomes of Sutureless Phacotrabeculectomy with foldable IOL.
Method: Retrospective study of randomly selected 50 eyes of POAG/PACG with cataract, operated by single surgeon in 2020-21. Demographic data, pre & postop CDVA, IOP, antiglaucoma medications (AGM), intra & postop complications and interventions noted upto 1 yr.
Results: Mean±SD Age:59.2±10 yrs. M:66%, F:34%. POAG:72%, PACG:28%. Mean±SD CDVA preop 0.48±0.4 LogMAR significantly improved to 0.13±0.2 LogMAR,P=0.0002 upto 1yr. Field defect severe:54%, moderate:24% & mild in 22% eyes. Mean±SD IOP preop 24.5±11.48 mmHg. IOP post op at 6wks (15.45±4.1 mmHg,P< 0.0001), 6mths (14.97±3.18 mmHg,P<0.0001) & at 1yr (15.39±3.5 mmHg,P=0.0001) was significantly lower. Mean±SD AGM preop 2.28±1.3 significantly decreased to 0.1±0.4,P<0.0001 upto 1yr.
No intra & postop complications found. Digital massage needed in 42% & 5 FU in 24%. Complete success 84.62% & qualified 15.38% at 1 yr.
Conclusion: Surgery is safe and effective.
