FP0036 : Microsporidial Stromal Keratitis – Challenging Scenarios

Abstract

We report three cases of microsporidial stromal keratitis, which as an unusual presentation and had challenges in management . All three had coinfection .Case -1 is microsporidia with gram negative bacilli coinfection in case of secondary Sjogren syndrome responded well to medical management .Case 2 is microsporidia with HSV Coinfection .Patient underwent therapeutuic graft and is doing well with BCVA 20/30. Case 3 is Microsporidia with Fungal Confection managed with Therapeutic Graft.

Microsporidia stromal keratitis is a rare entity. In the literature search, we found very few case reports of coinfection with microsporidia stromal keratitis- most of them were associated with viral and bacterial co-infection.
