Abstract

Purpose- to report spontaneous resolution of vitreomacular traction( VMT) in case of wet age related macular degeneration following anti vascular growth factor (vegf) injection and a case of idiopathic VMT.
Method- prospective examination of macular region using optical coherence tomography
Result- oct revealed broad VMT following anti vegf injection in wet ARMD and idiopathic VMT showing spontaneous resolution over few months.one eye underwent vitreoretinal surgery for the same
Conclusion -serial oct examination of vitreoretinal surface and timely follow up can very much avoid the need of early vitreoretinal surgery . Hence wait and watch can be a safe management protocol.
