Abstract
A six months old baby was brought by mother with history of inadequate opening of eyelids in left eye since birth. Baby was alert and active and was fixing & following light.
On examination of the left eye- Lids- Adhesion due to skin tag noted between upper and lower eyelid on lateral side, impairing the complete opening of eyelids, conjunctiva and cornea were clear, pupil reacting to light and extraocular movements were full. RE anterior segment was normal, Fundus was normal in both eyes.
Baby was born at 41+3 weeks of gestation from an uneventful normal vaginal delivery, and had cleft lip and cleft palate since birth.
General examination- vitals stable, no other abnormality was detected in systemic examination.
Patient was diagnosed as a rare case of Ankyloblepharon filiforme adnatum.
