Abstract

A 62-year-old man, presented to ocular oncology services, reporting a 5 month history of prominence of left eye which has increased in the past one month. On examination his right eye was unremarkable with 20/20 vision. His left eye had a vision of 20/25 with nuclear cataract and the posterior segment examination was normal. An abaxial proptosis of 5mm was noted in the left eye with a firm mass palpable in the supero temporal quadrant. Intraorbital mass was suspected and the patient was advised for orbital imaging. Histopathological examination the lesion was in favour of a neoplastic lesion but inconclusive diagnosis. The patient underwent PET- CT scan which revealed prostate carcinoma with left orbital, lymph node and skeletal metastasis. The patient is currently continuing antiandrogen therapy for prostate carcinoma.
