Abstract

A 52 years old diabetic and hypertensive male presented to our eye department with pain in right eye for last 7 days associated with infrequent watering and redness for the same duration which was insidious in onset and gradually progressive in nature.He was a known case of proliferative diabetic retinopathy in right eye and moderate NPDR left eye.He had received 3 doses of injection Avastin in right eye one year ago.Ocular examination of right eye revealed ciliary congestion, corneal oedema,seclusio pupillae with shallow anterior chamber due to dislocated lens,grade 2 hyphema in anterior chamber associated with iris neovascularisation.IOP was also raised in right eye.Patient was diagnosed as a case of neovascular glaucoma clinically and managed conservatively with anti glaucoma drugs,Topin,topical steroid.Currently his symptoms have relieved and is followed up for further management.Neovascular glaucoma can be a consequence of diabetic retinopathy which needs to be further evaluated.
