FP1402 : OUTCOME OF PARS PLANA AUROLAB AQUEOUS DRAINAGE IMPLANTATION IN MANAGEMENT OF NEOVASCULAR GLAUCOMA.

Abstract

Study design: Retrospective interventional study.
Purpose; Find out the outcome of AADI in VC in NVG.
Methods;28 patients with NVG with refractory glaucoma with AADI in VC through pars-plana approach were included in study. Monocular patients & age <18 years were excluded. Complete success was considered with IOP≤21mmHg or ≥5mmhg without AGMs & Qualified success with same IOP criteria but with AGM. Mean age was 59.32± 10.2 year. Mean preoperative IOP was 46.21±8.6mm Hg on a mean 3 AGMs and median BCVA of 2.45(logMAR)which was reduced to IOP of 22.67±19.5(p=0.005) mmHg with a mean of 1.75AGM(p=0.012) & median BCVA of 2.60(p=0.855) at 12 months. Qualified success was noted in 83.3% & complete success in 50.0% patients. There was one case each with; Hyphema, CD, RD & tube block. VA was stabilized or improved in 66.6% of eyes at 12 months. Conclusion: AADI in VC for NVG has good IOP lowering effect and reduces the number of AGMs with preservation of visual functions in refractory glaucoma.
