Abstract

To evaluate the effect of silicone oil injection on central corneal thickness(CCT) in phakic, aphakic and pseudophakic eyes prospectively. Prospective study to include 40 eyes of 40 patients requiring SO tamponade for complex retinal detachment (RD) high risk PDR etc, to record CCT prior to surgery & post-op day 1 ,week ,1 month, 3 months postop, to compare the changes in corneal thickness along with IOP record & comparison. According to our results, there is significant increase in CCT after SOI ( based on appropriate statistical analysis method.
