study design- Hospital based prospective randomised study
sample size-78 patients
Period – one year

They were followed up on day 7 and day 14.
Results: Sex, location of chalazia did not influence the treatment success in either group.33 Out of 39 patients (84.61%) treated with 0.1ml TA and 37 out of 39 patients (94.87%)who underwent I & C showed resolution at the end of 2 weeks.
Conclusion:In our study both Intralesional triamcinolone acetonide injection and Incision and curettage were effective in the treatment of primary chalazia with higher success rate in Incision and Curettage group.
