VT0132 : SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE

Abstract

We report a case of 53year old female presented with diminution of vision in her left eye for last 3 months. Patient was pseudophakic and fundus examination showed high myopia with posterior staphyloma in both eyes. Left eye showed bullous total retinal detachment with choroidal detachment. Left eye BCVA was 1/60. Core vitrectomy was done and then Choroidals were drained temporally. Tricort assisted PVD was induced but Vitreoschisis was found. PFCL assisted cortex separation was done in detached retina. Peripheral vitrectomy was completed and vitreous base excision was done. Retina was settled down after fluid gas exchange through peripheral iatrogenic break. Subretinal fluid presented at macula was drained through retinotomy. 360degree endolaser was done and 5000 cSt silicon oil was used as tamponade. We prescribe face down positioning in the post-operative period. Post-operatively at 1 week, the retina was completely attached and BCVA improved to 6/36. No financial disclosure
