Abstract
Video presents a surgical case of a 15 yr old boy who presented to me with complaint of loss of vision in one eye from more than 1 year. His BCVA was CFCF in the presenting eye with normal anterior segment examination and no lenticular changes noted. Posterior segment examination showed the presence of Total Chronic Retinal Detachment with PVR changes with multiple subretinal bands in all quadrants. 240 Encircling band with Vitrectomy with subretinal band removal followed by silicon oil injection was done. During the procedure it was noted that making a loop, roll and pull was better technique in comparison to just pulling out of bands from subretinal space as it lead to less traction and reduced the chances of breakage and retraction of the band deep into the subretinal space making complete removal difficult at times. Post operative vision with oil in situ was noted to be 6/60 with good foveal contour and retina well attached.
