Abstract

Currently available slit lamps are too bulky and very expensive, also having a very complex structure. Portable slit lamps are unaffordable and again difficult to use.

Thus we decided to make a portable, cost effective head mounted 3D printed slit lamp .

Our Head mounted Slit lamp is not only handsfree but also light weight with an additional head-strap which can directly be worn by the Ophthalmologist with ease of adjustability and usage.
The components of our slit lamp include:
1) A head mounted 3d printed adjustable strap with 3 led strip for diffuse lighting
2) Detachable Magnifying loop glass of 1x,2x and 3x which is interchangeable.
3) 3D printed Slit Dial cylinder of 10 cm length with varied options of slit beam of 0.2mm and 0.6mm and 1.6mm diffuse light along with a cobalt blue filter
