Abstract

Intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement is a crucial diagnostic tool for glaucoma screening. Elevated IOP is a major risk factor for the development and progression of glaucoma, a group of diseases affecting the optic nerve that can lead to permanent vision loss and blindness. IOP is routinely measured in eye clinics and can be used to detect early signs of glaucoma. Early diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma can slow or prevent further vision loss, making IOP measurement a critical component of regular eye examinations, especially for individuals at higher risk for glaucoma. This is a short demonstration video showing the various techniques of IOP measurement such as GAT, NCT, iCare, ORA and Tonopen. The aim is to simplify, increase understanding and alleviate fear of the public. A step forward for glaucoma awareness.
