Abstract
Eyes with thin sclera or recently conducted cataract surgery with poor sclerocorneal apposition / integrity and closed sclerocorneal tunnel beyond 6weeks of surgery or dislocated traumatic natural lens without any tunnel have always an issue for construction of a scleral tunnel of more than 6mm to implant rigid 3 piece IOL.One can smoothly navigate the AC with a clear corneal tunnel and a foldable IOL can be introduced into the eye with the help injector that unfolds in AC. The leading haptic can be grasped with a 23G end grasping forcep and trailing haptic is grasped at the end of injection before complete unfolding from the opposite side with another forcep through a 23G entry through the sclera to exteriorate both the T- shaped haptics and the IOL can be fixed at the anatomical position of the lens at a go. This novel technique gives a scope to implant an IOL in these specific situations like aphakic oil filled eye, poor sclerocorneal tunnel intigrity with a lesser surgical time.
