Abstract
While operating on a posterior polar cataract, PCR is something a surgeon would never like to face on the table. There are various techniques evolved over time to reduce such events. One such modification have been demonstrated here called 'Sprinkler technique' where after delineating the epinuclear plate and emulsifying the nucleus, the remaining cortex is separated from the posterior capsule by viscodissection in gradual manner. The tip of the visco cannula is rotated underneath the rhexis margin all around 360 degree while injecting the visco simultaneously between capsule and cortex making separation gradual and complete from all direction and lifting up the cortical plate safely making surgery smooth easy and free of complications.
