Aim:
An instructional video to aid ophthalmologists in performing gonioscopy
Synopsis:
A step-by-step, accurate way of doing gonioscopy is shown in this video-based skill transfer. Slit lamp adjustments and other safety measures before performing gonioscopy are shown. Different depiction from various types of gonioscopy lens are shown, which may aid the ophthalmologist in selecting the best gonioscope lens. By demonstrating the right technique for detecting the Schwalbe´s line, one of the main challenges in identifying the angle structures is decoded. A brief explanation of the various grades of angle is explained. Manipulative Gonioscopy and Indentation using Gonioscopy plays a major role in identifying and planning treatment of patient. How to differentiate synechial and appositional angle closure is explained. The video shows examples of various patients coming to our Glaucoma clinic .In the end the proper sterilization technique explained.
