FP0756 : CSCR MASQUERADES- HINT LIES IN THE OCT

Abstract

Design: An observational case.
Purpose: To present a case of dome-shaped maculopathy mimicking CSCR.
Methods: A review of history, clinical examination, and OCT was conducted.
Results: A 37-year-old male treated for chronic CSCR elsewhere with no improvement, came for 2nd opinion with a fluctuating blurring of vision in the left eye for 1 year. Fundus was tessellated with myopic crescent in both eyes. LE revealed pigmentary changes over posterior pole. OCT revealed subfoveal neurosensory detachment in LE simulating CSCR. Detailed OCT in both horizontal and vertical raster scans was re-evaluated and there was dome-shaped elevation at posterior pole in horizontal raster scan, but not at vertical scan. Previous OCT which was done elsewhere had been run thoroughly and showed a similar picture.
Conclusion: The diagnosis was changed to dome-shaped maculopathy.
