Abstract
Study Design:
Retrospective case series.
Purpose:
To describe the safety and efficacy of intravitreal Brolucizumab in 3 eyes of 2 patients with peripapillary inflammatory choroidal neovascular membrane.
Methods:
This is a retrospective short case series describing the use of intravitreal Brolucizumab in cases of peripapillary inflammatory choroidal neovascular membrane in 3 eyes of 2 patients with 12 months follow up.
Results:
Both patients showed remarkable response to intravitreal Brolucizumab with long-term disease remission and no incidence of complications after a single injection.
Conclusions:
Brolucizumab may be a viable alternative to other anti-Vegf agents in cases of difficult-to-treat inflammatory peripapillary CNV. Despite the concerns of intraocular inflammation, the drug may be offered to selected patients for long-term disease remission.
