Abstract
The number of estimated glaucoma patients will be 27.8 million by 2024 and the maximum burden will be shared between India and China. To manage these estimated numbers of glaucoma patients we need more ophthalmologists to manage these patients. The newer angle-based minimally invasive surgeries like bent needle goniotomy, Kahook dual blade goniotomy, and istent are in vogue due to the ease of doing these surgeries with better safety profile as compared to trabeculectomy. The major hurdle faced before starting these procedures is intraoperative gonioscopy. This video will discuss all obstacles faced during intraoperative gonioscopy and how to rectify them in a simplified manner.
