VT0246 : Slow motion dynamic videography: A tool for the diagnosis of strabismus

Abstract

Some motions are so fast that they are difficult to detect. Time is indeed an arbitrary human made concept , while a second takes the same amount of time, the human internal clock is a metronome working at high variable velocities, a blink is 100 ms , the pupil reacts in 200 ms , eye shift in cover test which is the most important test for diagnosis of strabismus, occurs in 400 ms . Slow motion to study fast moving objects has been used in sports since long , in medicine it was introduced in 2003 , In this video we show how slow motion evaluation of the cover test can help in better diagnosis and evaluation of strabismus.
